About Addlestone Honey

Local beekeeping

I'm Paul, an Addlestone-based beekeeper and creator of Addlestone honey.
Addlestone Honey is a honey producer, located in the town of Addlestone, Surrey, England - 8 miles west of Greater London, just within the M25 orbital motorway.

Though I'm a multi-generation Londoner, I moved out to Surrey several year ago, completed training with the Weybridge Beekeeping Association and quickly took a deep dive into beekeeping.

Local apiaries

We manage 6 apiaries in and around Addlestone, Surrey: Woburn Hill, Addlestone Moor, Wey Meadows, Castle End, Burpham and Crockford Park Road.

Each apiary is either in or surrounded by open wild land. This creates our unique-tasting wildflower honey, which is packed with all the health benefits and taste of real raw natural honey.

Locally caught bees

All my bees are originally from locally caught swarms and local open-mated queens - both best suited to the local environment in Addlestone.

Local forage

Addlestone honey and beeswax are made by bees that forage for nectar, pollen, propolis and water in and very close to Addlestone. Whilst honey bees have been known to fly 8km to forage, most forage within just 1km of their hive.

Getting into beekeeping

I'm a member of the Weybridge beekeepers association and the British beekeeping association (BBKA).

If you are interested in a bee experience, the Weighbridge beekeeper association (WBKA) off a 2-day 'taster' experience. Then, if that wets your appetite, you have the option of a very affordable 10 week beginners course, that takes place over the first 6-months of the year (Winter: Theory, Summer: Practical).
