- Local honey, bought from your local beekeeper is likely 100% real honey: A 2024 study of 30 sample honeys showed ALL samples from UK supermarkets were adulterated with sugar syrup.
- Supporting local beekeeping encourages people to have a stake in their local environment. Beekeeping can help raise awareness of local environmental issues, while maintaining an economic interest in the welfare of local insects.
- Support local pollination: While some other native UK bee species and pollinators experience a drop in numbers, supporting responsible honey bee management can help support pollination of local flora and fauna.
